So I've been in a crafty mood lately. While surfing the craft blog
world I came across a tutorial for a pom pom wreath. So of course I
had to give it a go!

Here is the yarn I chose for my wreath. It is the Vana White brand.
(who knew she had her own yarn line?!?!?)

The light coming through the trees was pretty stinking amazing this
morning.

i'm coming up on my 26th birthday... so weird to think that i'm in my mid twenties.

soon i'll be posting a "year in review" about the past 365 days of my life...

new shoots

last week i did a family shoot on my day off... turned out pretty good despite a last minute location change to a spot i'd never seen... i might post some of those later...

yesterday i went to ybor with a couple coworkers and did a mock senior shoot just to try out some locations and have some fun.

not really, but it feels like i'm headed that way.

i feel like i'm a catholic now, only going to church at Easter and Christmas. b/c thats about all i've gone to this year. (nothing against catholics, i'm just being silly, not trying to be offensive..)

its not a bad thing, i'v been working most every sunday and wednesday. and it has been nice to have a break to rethink my views...

well this post is alittle too deep for 1 in the morning. :)

in other news, i've been house sitting for my manager this weekend, and taking care of their great dane... oh the stories and photos i have. they will come later this week.

now i'm off to bed!

lana the peanut...

recently i got the chance to do some shooting on my own, outside the confines of the corporate studio walls... and it was glorious. first shoot i have done on my own time in over 5 months. it was long over due... and to make the shoot even more enjoyable, i was taking picture of my niece, lana. she has got to be the cutest kid ever, that is until i adopt my adorable children one day. :)

anyways, here are some samples of the 6 month adorable Lana.

They called it a "cookie curl" i call it a fauxhawk. she takes after her uncle kyle. :)

i love my little peanut niece. :)

dena+kory=engaged

this is the last engagement shoot i did while in kentucky...
dena and kory were one of the most fun couples i have ever shot! all my couples are unique and bring something special to the table, but this couple went above and beyond...
i love when couples have ideas of their own and know what they want, but are also willing to try my crazy ideas.

oh and i moved to tampa fl.

been here almost 2 weeks, and i am enjoying being around old friends and my family once again.

last friday i helped laura shoot a wedding at Anna Maria Island... here are my fav shots...

all make for a fun afternoon, sweaty, but still fun.

bright and early...

getting up at 3:30 to head to bright and sunny Florida!

have two shoots lined up while i am home visiting the family, so that should be loads of fun.  :)

yesterday i did one of the three engagement shoots i have this week... and while i was waiting on the couple to change clothes, i shot some detail shots for myself...

so far i have seen a herd of tanorexics

and a soon to be bride complete with baseball cap and attached veil.

my flight from nashville to birmingham was interesting... i sat next to a woman who is in construction and likes to talk... she told me and the older camo wearing gentleman sitting next to her, about how she used to be a "fugitive recovery agent."

now i am debating on whether or not to get something to eat, or hold out until i get home around 3 and have my mom buy me something... haha total momma's boy here. :)

well i am excited about shooting the wedding tomorrow... i will try and get some pics up as soon as i can after.

I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter! Mine was quite spectacular.

Since the weather wasn't very cooperative, after the usual potluck at church, we hid Easter Eggs in the gym for all the kids... Here are some snaps of the excitement... :)
